disconnected...

woke up at 6am todae for my 8am japanese tutorial...w a swollen left eyebag...

forgot to bring my handphone to school todae...

was walking to the MRT station when i realized... was contemplating whether i shud turn back, but thot to myself : i could survive a day without my phone...

@ e MRT station, realized i forgot to bring my ez-link card...worse still, e machine wouldn't accept my creased $10 note, so i proceeded to e control station to buy an ez-link card...and realized i din have 17 bucks that was needed to purchase one ( $7+$5+$5, forgot which amounts are non-refundable, which are e deposits etc)...thankfully, e man at e counter gave me small change for my miserable $10 and i was able to purchase a train card...

9am: wanted to call melon...hunted high and low on e school campus for a telephone booth...walked from arts to YIH, and i found a telephone booth that was...spoilt. no ringtone...i shud have guessed it---e dial buttons were dusty =(

walked back to arts, AS7, and found another telephone booth...it's working! but alas, there was no coin slot and i had to use a singtel phonecard?!! sigh. tired of trying so hard just to make a call....thankfully, another kind soul lent me her phone...

finally reached melon n told him i'd call again at 3+pm...at 3+pm, borrowed a phone from a fren..or rather, an acquaintance, but she wasn't too happy about me using her phone...trust a woman's sixth sense...=(

ended up not meeting melon...ended up taking 151 home and getting a headache from e bumpy ride...worst still, there was this old man on e bus that kept whistling at e gals that alighted from e bus... it was utterly disgusting.

i try to keep my cool at times like this, when everything seems against me...all e small little things just gets on my nerves.

i tell myself: control your temper huihua.

i turned 22 on Monday...

I turned 22 on Monday....

monday: completed my 2 essays n studied for 2 tests, n had dinner w my family at Hongkong Street @ Upper Serangoon Road...

wednesday: bdae celebration w canoeists...gracie had a test e very next day but she still came... *touched*

birthdaes hold a special meaning for me...

when i was young i.e. in Primary school, i would alwiz feel like i'm e princess of e day when my bdae comes...i would skip happily to school even...=) i had double e share of presents, cos my bdae falls 1 day after children's day, so besides getting prez from my teachers, i wud receive prez from my frens...

when i was in secondary school, bdaes continue to be a happy occasion..maybe cos i was alwiz regarded as e clown of e class/ chairman/v-chairman, i wud alwiz receive overwhelming loads of prez...still recall a time when i was at e bus stop opp SCGS...I had a few bags of prez and dis stranger even offered to help me carry them... =)

when i went to JC, I still had prez...n even special ones fr melon...bdaes continue to be a date i marked out in my mental calendar... =)

in uni...prez dwindled with each passing year... till it became an annual hongbao fr my doting parents, a gift fr my brothers (who do not realli know wat a girl wants, but attempts anyway...), and a prez from melon...

over time, my prez collection has evolved to a collection of smses...

but i'm thankful that i have lots and lots and lots of smses from frens all over singapore, and even all over e world. =)
