sometimes i feel sad...

went down to Kulturhuset, Stockholm's Cultural Center, with eliz and sharon today...saw a photo exhibition which was a portrayal of children suffering from obesity, titled "The Forbidden Body". For 2 years, the photographer, Felicia Webb, has followed children at school, in their everyday lives and when undergoing treatment.

looking at e photos somehow made me feel sad...sometimes, i will realli feel very angry when i hear pple laffing at other obese pple...some of u might know why i feel so strongly about this issue...

put urself in their shoes n u will understand e agony of them trying to deal with their size...on top of facing potential health problems, they have to cope w the stigma and taunting from others....some of them can't even help it (it may be genetic)...sure, we may not mean to tease....but still, it hurts.

e gal in e picture below is laughing happily (think it's her mum dat is tickling her?)...i feel comforted to see her laugh...don't you? instead of making meaningless comments about their size, show them that they are not facing this battle alone---give them some form of encouragement and love.
